We can supply a measuring guide so that you can ensure the correct size is fitted to maximise on security and aesthetics. For security ensure that the cylinder does not project too far, for aesthetics ensure it is the correct finish to match with the door hardware.
Compliance
We will be able to advise on such matters and fire doors and cylinder types to ensure compliance. If we are unable to give you a definitive answer we will direct you to alternative sources of information.
Security levels
If required we can advise/help guiding you to the best level of key or cylinder security based on your view of both tenant types and local crime levels. A good source is your local CPO Crime Prevention Officer from our experience they are extremely helpful.
Door Preparation
Our advice is simple unless you are an experienced carpenter please leave this to the professionals as a poorly fitted lock will not function correctly. Some doors will already have a lock fitted and its just a case of replacement, we can guide you as to the possible pitfalls if required. We would recommend using a qualified fitter/carpenter.
